Thank you for your interest in our Childhood Builders work.
We’ve created this landing page to provide easy access to information and resources that may be of particular interest to people working in early years settings, including those of you who have landed on this page because you’ve scanned our Childhood Builders poster at the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) Conference 2026.

Below are some of our favourite resources that can be used in our work with children and families.
ARACY’s The Nest Wellbeing Wheel is an ecological model which draws on Urie Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory. It shows the interconnected elements that support children’s health and wellbeing – at the individual, the family, the community and the systems and environments level.
Children thrive when we all work together to boost resilience by reducing adversity, building skills and abilities, and adding positive supports. The Resilience Scale is a powerful tool to support learning and conversations about what we need to thrive.

Growing Deadly Brains® is a First Nations-led initiative and collaboration between Yiliyapinya Indigenous Corporation and Queensland Kids Partnership that brings together and honours cultural knowledge and neuro-knowledge.
Visit the Yiliyapinya website to find factsheets and short videos that bring together cultural knowledge and brain science – for families, caregivers and the practitioners who walk alongside them.
